Job Fair and Workshop to be Held in Monroeville
More than 200 Available Jobs

MONROEVILLE – A job fair will be held at the Monroeville Water Tower on Wednesday, November 8 from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Approximately 10 companies are scheduled to be in attendance, representing the healthcare, manufacturing, industrial, and retail sectors, with more than 200 available job openings.

“We’re always proud to host events like this that bring together jobseekers and employers,” said Shirley Salter, manager of the Monroeville Career Center. “We are working with many other local and state agencies to combine resources in order to help citizens in this area find work.”

The job fair is being hosted by the Alabama Career Center System / Alabama Department of Labor, the Monroe County Commission, the Town of Beatrice, the Town of Excel, the Town of Frisco City, the Town of Vredenburgh, the Monroeville / Monroe County Economic Development Authority, the Alabama Department of Commerce, and the Alabama Cooperative Extension.

A Job Readiness Workshop will also be held on Monday, November 6, prior to the job fair, to help interested candidates prepare for interviews. The Workshop will cover topics such as: Résumé Development, Interview Skills, and How to Dress for an Interview.
