To begin receiving an email notification whenever a request for separation information has been mailed, please send an email to Ben241@labor.alabama.gov including: the name, address, and telephone number of your organization, your organization’s Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or UC Employer Account Number, and the email address to which you would like the notification sent.

A user guide for the SIDES E-Response system located at www.uisides.org is available here.

To login successfully at www.uisides.org you will need to:

  • Choose the first option, “Separation Information”. You will not be able to login for other options.
  • Select Alabama from the drop down menu.
Enter your Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) without spaces or dashes.
  • Enter your State Employer Identification Number (SEIN) – identified as Employer Account Number (Item 4) on the paper BEN241; also provided in the courtesy email notification.
  • Enter your Authorization/Access Code – provided in the upper right corner of the paper BEN241; also provided in the courtesy email notification.
NOTE: If the employer account on your paper request for separation information (Form Ben-241) is blank, the claim was filed with a temporary unverified account number and you will not be able to login to this request for SIDES E-Response. You will need to submit your request by FAX or Mail.
