NEWS ABOUT FEDERAL EXTENDED UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION (EUC08)
- Based on current federal legislation, the last payable week of EUC benefits is for the week ending December 28, 2013.
- There will be no “phase-out” period for EUC payments. All EUC payments will cease when the program ends without regard to the balance on an individual’s benefit account.
- No weekly certifications or new EUC claims can be filed after the EUC period has ended. If congressional action is taken to extend the EUC08 program, you will be notified by mail.
- As additional information becomes available to the Alabama Department of Labor, our web site will be updated.
